Instructional Basketball
A first step onto the court β young players learn the game the fun way, one fundamental at a time.
About the program
Where young players learn the game
Instructional Basketball is Roxana Park’s learn-the-basics program for boys and girls who are new to the sport. Instead of jumping straight into league play, players build skills step by step in a relaxed, encouraging setting β so when they’re ready for a team, they step onto the court with confidence.
Sessions focus on the fundamentals every player needs, taught through drills, games, and plenty of time with a ball in hand.
Dribbling
Ball handling with both hands, keeping control while moving up the court.
Passing
Chest passes, bounce passes, and finding the open teammate.
Shooting
Good form from the start β balance, aim, and follow-through.
Footwork & Defense
Pivoting, staying in front of your player, and moving as a team.
