Roxana Park Staff

Director, Debbie Ferry has been employed with the Park District since 1995. She possesses a Bachelor of Science Degree in Recreation Administration and a Business Administration Minor. She also has completed coursework toward a Master’s Degree in Public Administration and is an NRPA recognized Certified Park and Recreation Professional. Debbie is an active member of SIPRA, IPRA, IAPD and serves as a co-chair for the SIPRA Trivia Fundraiser and co-chair of the Riverbend Area Relay for Life event. In the position of Director, Debbie is responsible for administering and directing all operations of the Park District and Recreation Department including building and grounds, supplies and finance, personnel, recreation programs, events, and board business.

Superintendent of Recreation, Stacy John has been employed with the Park District since 1998. She possesses a Bachelor of Science Degree in Recreation, Park and Tourism Administration with a Geology Minor. Stacy is also an NRPA recognized Certified Park and Recreation Professional. She is an active member of SIPRA, IPRA, IAPD, serves as a co-chair for the SIPRA Trivia Fundraiser, and is a committee member for the Riverbend Area Relay for Life event. Stacy directly develops, implements and evaluates all of the youth and adult sports leagues, special interest programs and special events. She also recruits, trains, and supervises all staff pertaining to those areas. Stacy is considered to be Assistant Director and acts accordingly in the absence of the Director.

Accounting Clerk, Michelle Crawford has been employed part-time with the Park District since 2005 and has an Associate of Arts Degree. Michelle is involved with direct practice in the financial administration of the Park District including payroll, account payable, general ledger work, board reports and audit preparation.

Maintenance Foreman, Jason John has been employed since September 2015. He has been a volunteer for the Park District for many years. Jason formerly worked at Alton Steel. In this position, he is responsible for the cleaning and maintaining of all park buildings, any preparation of the ball fields, mowing and landscaping, as well as a multitude of other duties.

Pool Manager, Nathan Miles has been employed with the Park District since 1998. He first started as a lifeguard and then in 2005 he became the head manager for the Roxana Community Pool. Nathan Miles is also a teacher and coach with the Roxana School District. Nathan oversees the daily operation of the pool, supervises the staff, maintains food inventory, and schedules private parties.

Assistant Pool Manager, David Watts has been employed with the Park District since 2005. He is also a teacher with the Roxana School District. David teaches a multitude of exercise classes at the Rox-Arena from step aerobics to boot camp. He also aids in many of the Park District’s special events and is a co-chair for the Riverbend Area Relay for Life event.
